Mecum Auction – Las Vegas, 2017
This was my first visit to a Mecum auction. A friend had his ’29 Model-A in a Saturday lot and offered me a guest pass. One fact I knew from watching Mecum auctions on TV, unlike Barrett-Jackson, most of Mecum’s lots have a reserve price.
Something else that struck me was the number Corvettes there, particularly C2’s including survivors, restored stock, and resto-mods.
And although this auction wasn’t televised in the traditional manner, it was (and probably still is) possible to stream it on YouTube and Facebook.
