Billed as the largest indoor car show in Las Vegas, the Imperial Palace Car Show at The Quad Hotel Casino is also unique because nearly every vehicle is for sale. A good portion of the cars on display were new… Continue reading
By coincidence, I was in Las Vegas meeting up with a good friend (and street rod builder) from New Jersey. And even though this show was just a free add-on attraction at the Las Vegas Boy Scouts annual Mega Expo,… Continue reading
What happened? Did people forget to mark their calendars for this event? Whatever, there were several new-to-Pahrump entrants that featured creative ideas, outstanding workmanship and/or uncommon vehicle makes, like the ’37 Terraplane and a swarm of Mitsubishi Starions, including one… Continue reading
Attending this competition is more involved and a bit more expensive these last 2 years, but it is still well worth it to see some of the nations best built pro-touring, resto-mods, and customs compete for the crown of Ultimate… Continue reading
Finally they are posted! Long over-due, but I think you will agree they were worth the wait. My 2012 SEMA Show coverage is comprised of 6 pages with a total of around 800 images. Yes, you will see multiple images… Continue reading
This was a nice parking lot show with decent turnout and a number of new (to me) entries.
I was a little disappointed with this Super Run show. The last time I attended this show I was really impressed so I had high expectations. The other part of “my disappointment” was with the heat. It was at least… Continue reading
This was my first time attending a Barrett-Jackson auction, and I had a nice time at the Mandalay Bay convention center. Of course it would have been a lot more exciting if I was bidding on some of the beautiful… Continue reading
My trip to the inaugural Formula-1 U.S. Grand Prix in Austin, Texas was an exciting adventure. Although I had previously driven through Texas several times and spent 6 weeks at Fort Bliss in El Paso (many years ago), this was… Continue reading
With the sun’s strong rays being masked by even stronger breezes, May 5th was another beautiful day in southern Nevada. Perfect for Sugar’s / Flying Eagle in Pahrump to host a Show & Shine. It’s always exciting to see the… Continue reading
On a bright and sunny Saturday in Pahrump, a strong turn-out of show entries filled the grass field at Petrack Park. Along with the Valley Cruiser regulars, quite a few interesting entries from Las Vegas and other surrounding areas made… Continue reading
Held on the Saturday immediately after the Las Vegas SEMA Show, this is the fourth OUSCI event held at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada. Unusually cold temps arrived on the last day of the SEMA Show, and some OUSCI participants braved snowy conditions while driving over the mountains to Pahrump, while most others took the longer, low elevation route. Continue reading
The big after-market trade show came back and the number of vendors and attendees was definitely up from last year. In fact, the big crowds made it a real challenge to get good photos of the amazing vehicles on display, but somehow I managed. I have posted over 450 images, divided into 4 groups. Grab a coffee or a beer, and take a look.

The Saturday of Memorial Day weekend 2011 brought perfect temperatures to The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and some strong tail-winds probably didn’t hurt the ET’s either. I was disappointed with the small number of rods on display, but there were plenty of nice drag cars to make up for it. Continue reading
The first annual May West Fest KARganza Show ‘n Shine took place on an overcast, relatively cool and windy Mother’s Day. Possibly it was these conditions, combined with the high gas prices, that resulted in Continue reading
The Pahrump Valley Cruisers annual spring show at Petrack Park was a well attended event this year. The temps reached into the lower 80′s and the strong sun made it feel more like 90′s if you weren’t in the shade.
Held on the weekend following the close of the Las Vegas SEMA Show, this would be the third OUSCI event held at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada. It’s always nice to see highly modified and meticulously detailed muscle cars and big-buck customs on the track and sliding around the autocross pylons. Continue reading
The premiere trade show for the after-market car industry really needs no introduction. For 2010, the show was just as great as ever, even if it wasn’t quite as big as recent past shows. In 3 parts, Part-1 includes 163 images. Continue reading
Here are just a few pix from Lead East, 2009, in Parsippany, New Jersey. I was trying to do double-duty that day with both a video camera and a still camera. I ended up shooting more video than stills. Continue reading
