Although I installed the largest triple-pass radiator that would fit, and added an air deflector to direct air into the rear mounted radiator, the simple fact is, the effectiveness of the rear-mounted radiator was initially marginal, at best. And on 90 degree (F) and above days, the engine temp seemed to go above 210 fairly quickly after brisk driving. The challenge is getting enough air to flow through the radiator while the car is driving under a load (like hills or hard acceleration). This is much easier to accomplish with the radiator mounted at the front end of the car.
In order to help with my less-than ideal situation, I decided to install a generous size engine oil cooler with a dedicated electric fan. My setup uses a “sandwich” adapter with a thermostat. The adapter is mounted between the oil filter and the engine block where the filter would normally be mounted. -10 AN teflon hoses with SS braided protective covering route the oil to the cooler which is fastened to the frame just behind the left side air scoop.
