As I mentioned, I don’t have a good setup for doing bodywork or painting which tends to create tons of dust and fumes. But, I also don’t have the funds to drop the car off at a reputable shop and pick it up a month or two later. So, I put on a bunny suit and endured the pain.
Some parts of this car were in really bad shape, like the door’s inner edge panels. The part I skipped (for now) is the necessary long-block sanding and filling after applying a dark check-coat. So, after completing the work I did do, the body still has too many waves and ripples. These will need to be dealt with before I (or someone) gives this car a real paint job.
