As I mentioned, my favorite color is gray primer! And although I’m not being completely serious about that, high quality body work has never been one of my strengths. To do a proper paint job on a car like this will require many more hours of work to remove the waves and ripples. This is one of the few tasks I might gladly farm out to a professional shop, when I think I can afford it.
In the meantime, I’m happy to drive the car around in the light-gray primer. I don’t have to worry about it getting scratched, and if I decide to replace those Gremlin tail lights with my latest CAD concept, I won’t be cutting into some expensive metallic paint job that might be hard to match.
That said, I must admit the car does look amazing when I render the CAD models in different colors or use A-I to see how it might look with a nice paint job.
