Right after moving the fuel tank to the rear, the next update to my Valkyrie was one I had researched quite extensively: replacing the Corvair IFS with a proper custom, tubular A-frame IFS with adjustable coil-over shocks and a power steering rack. As always, cost was an important factor in my decision. After comparing what was available that would fit my frame, I ordered a custom configured system from Jim Meyer Racing. (Unfortunately, I understand Jim Meyer Racing is no longer in operation) I sent Jim a sketch showing the width of my front frame rails along with their size and the desired height of the frame from the ground. Jim then modified his standard design to fit my particulars. I soon received a hefty cross-member, tubular upper and lower A-arms, weld-on shock mounting brackets, adjustable QA-1 coil-overs, and a bag of associated bushings, bolts, and shims.
Note that the windshield is now the only remaining item on my Valkyrie that came from a Corvair.
